To fill the current gap of a structured overview of auctions, AURES II is developing a comprehensive online database of past and planned auction rounds in the EU, where results, details on auction design, and financing conditions are made freely and easily accessible. Although a rising number of countries in and outside the EU have implemented auctions to support RES, before now no single, publicly available database comprising the implemented design elements as well as the awarded auction prices and realization rates existed. The data collected is thus meant to provide an holistic overview of existing and planned auctions, as well as new quantitative insights on how design elements influence auction performance.

The database excel file, which will be updated every 6 months, is available for downloading. A dedicated navigation interface to facilitate browsing of the data directly on this page will be developed in the next months. (Last Update: 31st January 2020)
